Dosage

“Dosage” is a software package that takes care of medication dosage. The target group consists primarily of elderly persons. Time schedule, type of medication and dosage are set in the options of the software. In worming mode the mobile phone gives a signal in appropriate time intervals and writes on the screen the type of medicine and the suitable dosage for the given interval.

Technical description:

• The application targets the widest possible market. It is based on Java technology and telephones that possess JavaVM that has access to the calendar, alarm clock and possibly the content of SMS/MMS messages. The configuration is done with the XML file or directly from the application. The file can be downloaded from the PC or received by SMS/MMS. The configuration file can be sent to the desired number via SMS/MMS, if the cell possesses such functionality. The application does NOT present a significant overhead to the cell.
• At the later stage, if it proves to be sufficiently attractive to the market, there is a possibility to develop more sophisticated application for smart phones with a perfected system of signaling and scheduling.
